The Scarborough Fire Department would like to recognize one of our Call Company Firefighters, Tyler Granata, who has deployed to Colorado alongside 20 other wildland firefighters from across Maine to assist with the Aspen Acres Fire.
Currently spanning more than 92,000 acres and only 12% contained, this large-scale wildfire continues to challenge crews on the ground. Tyler will be serving on a fire line crew, working alongside firefighters from across the country to help protect lives, property, and natural resources.
We wish Tyler and all of the Maine wildland firefighters a safe deployment and thank them for their dedication, professionalism, and willingness to answer the call wherever it may lead.
