We are grateful to WMTW Channel 8 for shining a spotlight on CTE and the many pathways available to students. Special thanks to reporter Jacob Murphy for sharing this important story and helping showcase the value of hands-on learning and career exploration. Career and Technical Education enrollment in Maine has grown significantly in recent years as more students discover the opportunities these programs provide.

A huge thank you to Kirk Nygren, Building Trades Instructor, and Debbi Atripaldi, Building Trades Teaching Assistant, for their flexibility and willingness to welcome the filming crew to the Rotary House project.

We would also like to recognize three outstanding Tech II students... Jackson Faulkner, Jackson Lavertu, and Kara Nygren. Although each has already completed the two-year Building Trades program, they continue to volunteer their time each afternoon at the Rotary House project. Their dedication, work ethic, and commitment to giving back were on full display, and they represented WRVC exceptionally well.

Stories like this remind us of the incredible opportunities available to students through CTE and the positive impact they are making in our communities every day.

We are incredibly proud of all who helped make this feature possible.
