We are incredibly proud of two EMT students, Cheslie B. (Gorham High School) and Wyatt T. (Bonny Eagle High School), who took an all-day Firefighting State Practical Skills Test for their Firefighting I and II certification. Both students did an AMAZING job, and passed!!! These tests are physically and cognitively demanding, and Cheslie and Wyatt succeed by showcasing their skill, determination, and heart.
Our Firefighting students also had their first live-fire experience, working together to put out a controlled fire and practicing with fire extinguishers and the hose. This hands-on training experience supported building the teamwork and technique essential in the field.
A huge thank you to Lt. Brooks for his dedication to his students and the program. His leadership makes moments like these possible.
