Captain J.J. Marcigliano has built an impressive career in Army aviation, wearing many hats and excelling in each of them. He currently serves as the Deputy State Army Aviation Officer for the Maine Army National Guard, overseeing all Army aviation operations across the state. Based out of Bangor, CPT Marcigliano is also a platoon leader, a MEDEVAC pilot, and an instructor pilot, as well as a certified instrument examiner.
As a MEDEVAC commander, he leads a team of 120 soldiers. In a broader role, he is responsible for all Army aviation assets in Maine, and this includes managing 19 helicopters, one fixed-wing aircraft, and approximately 160 soldiers.
We are incredibly proud and honored to count Captain Marcigliano as a graduate of our former Public Safety program... now known as our Criminal Justice program. His dedication, service, and leadership exemplify the very best of our alumni community.
Another amazing alumnus is Jason McCarthy, a proud graduate of our Building Trades program. Jason is continuing to excel in his personal and professional journey. He’s currently attending Southern Maine Community College, pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering Technologies. Outside the classroom, Jason stays active in his community.... he enjoys bowling in the local 1010 league and is cleaning up the lanes with his many strikes! When he’s not studying or bowling, you can probably find him out on the golf course when it's open, making the most of his free time and living his best life.
We look forward to celebrating many more wonderful accomplishments from both of our exceptional alumni!
