• Hoops: This season is off to a great start for the Blazes winter sports teams! In particular, girls and boys basketball are putting their respective leagues on notice, as they are both climbing the standings. The girls’ last game was a 53-28 drubbing of Kennebunk on Thursday, leaving absolutely no doubt. On the boys side, their most recent game was a 58-28 rout of Marshwood on Saturday. Both games were on the road. Impressive wins.
• Track: Coach Caron has the Indoor Track team running by the competition. The team has been inspired by the addition of Blazes alum and record holder Mahamed Sharif to the coaching staff.
• Hockey: The Westbrook/Windham/Bonny Eagle Trailblazers have notched two big wins and are showing a ton of potential!
• Wrestling: Led by senior Thomas Griffin, the Westbrook/Windham/Gray New Gloucester Wolfpack has been pinning the competition week in and week out. Look for some deep individual runs at the regional and even state meets.
• Swimming & Diving: It is an exciting time to be a part of the program, as the Blazes look to compete with the regions best in team and individual events.
Go Blazes!!!
